For those of you that didn't know, I've been trying to host my site through blogger for a while now (drop the blog-spot) with no luck. Something wasn't being done right, something sub domain, old hosting account, all that. But third time's a charm, cause after a couple days of being down for maintenance, and being on the phone with customer service, it finally worked! yay! I am super excited, I have big plans for Kreative Karing in the near future.
With that being said, I'm anxious to announce a giveaway to celebrate climbing over that obstacle! And because the Amazon Gift Card for the UBP11 was so quick, convenient, and easily enjoyed, I decided I wouldn't mind giving another out. After all, it's just as easy to email the code as it is to mail the card!
So I'm offering my readers a chance to win a $20 Amazon Gift Card!
This could be extra money for you for Mother's Day or money to buy your special someone something for Mother's Day! Or just extra money for you in general.
So I wanted to share a few giveaways that I've entered in and invite you to enter in them too before they end! (I think they have all ended)
I entered to win a P-12C Paper Shredder from Fellowes!
And I think owning a big cutter would be cool too! If you're interested in entering to win this, you should visit Thanks Mail Carrier before April 25th at 11:59pm CST, cause that's when it ends! Good Luck!
How about winning a $50 gift certificate to any salon
found on Local Pages? umm yes please? I definitely entered in that. Why wouldn't you? I think it's pretty self explanatory why I want this. So if you want to get in on this chance to get this $50 gift certificate you should go to Thanks Mail Carrier before May 5th at 11:59pm CST.
What can I say? I'm feeling lucky today! Did you want to try your luck at winninga $10 gift card to Target or Walmart? Winner's choice!
If I won, I would probably pick the Walmart gift card because I do most of my shopping there. Enter in this giveaway here at Thanks Mail Carrier before May 13th at 11:59pm CST.
I'm very excited to have a chance at winning a $50 gift certificate to ProFlowers! Part of the mandatory entry is going to the site and seeing what you might like and there were two things that jumped out at me.
The Baby Elephant Ring Holder because it reminds me of my brother who used to love elephants. He had Cerebral Palsy but he was so smart and truly a Angel from heaven! (RIP2009)
And I really love this Family necklace, it's beautiful. And if I won and picked this, it would go to a good Teacher friend who is so loving and thoughtful, and I know she would love this!
So if you're interested in winning there are two opportunities to win, because two different blogs are hosting this giveaway! How cool!
Normally I don't post words to go along with my pictures. Today I am. I'm asking for prayers to be said for those in my town & my surrounding area's that where hit by the Tornado's this past Saturday. The damage is devastating. I didn't post any pictures, as I refuse to take pictures of people's private moments. But whole neighborhoods in my town were leveled.
There are have been 23 storm related deaths in my state. & That's not including those who were hit in the days through out the south before North Carolina was hit. Many many lives where lost during these storms.
When I was around 8yrs old, my mother married, and I acquired a new step dad and step brother. My step brother, Stevie, was very special to me, and over the years, I would help out with him more and more. He had cerebral palsy, was in a wheelchair, couldn't really speak, and used a board to point to communicate with others. that didn't stop us from having a close relationship though, because I understood him more than anyone, even without the board. We just had a special connection, he was smarter than most people I knew, he just couldn't express it.
I'm happy to have enough posts to be able to list my top blog posts. I know it's a super easy post but these past couple weeks have been so busy, ( The UBP, A death in the family, my birthday a couple days ago ) and now the weather is finally getting warmer, I've been running around trying to clean things up and and be productive.
It kind of sucks when I see videos on the news about 7 year olds getting plastic surgery so they don't get bullied anymore in school. It is so freakin sad that a child has to feel so insecure that it's affecting her learning and confidence!
This family in particular family sees plastic surgery as the best way to keep school bullies away. The little girl has already been teased and her mother is scared it's only going to get worse.
"Adults are the worst" says her mother, when they ask questions and make terrible statements right in front of her daughter.
So with The Little Babyface Foundation, they were flown to New York free of charge to grant the 7 year olds wish.
Now my views obviously is that we should teach our children to accept ourselves and others as they are. But people are cruel and un-accepting these days.
The surgery was very minor, and she seems really happy with the changes.
Since the Ultimate Blog Party, and LIKING so many facebook pages, my facebook wall now blows up at all times of the day. It was extremely overwhelming to scan through all of it and I found that it was very time consuming trying to weed through Status, Page, and Game updates.
Did you know that you can customize your facebook wall? If you click next to where it says Top News, you will get choices on which updates you see. I usually click status updates to quickly see my most recent friend's updates, and then onto page and check out all the bloggy updates!
But because I like to play Farmville and Zombie Lane, I find that if I organize my facebook wall this way, I'm not having to weed through all the game updates anymore, which was one of the biggest space wasters ever. I think facebook should have a different wall for all the game updates instead of making your contacts suffer because the game keeps posting to your wall.
Also, since the new facebook change took place, there is a good chance you're not getting all of your updates anyways. To fix this, head to the same area. Next to Top News, if you click the drop down menu again, at the bottom it will say Edit Options. If you click that, a box will pop up and at the top it says Show Posts From: and there you can choose, friends and pages you interact with the most, or all of your friends and pages.
I choose the all because I don't need facebook deciding for me. And I might miss something! Plus if people and pages are really bothering me, I can click the X beside each wall post and can choose options from there.
SO how is everyone doing so far this week? It's been a CRAZY past couple weeks for me, my head is still spinning from all the wonderful bloggy people I'm meeting! I love it!
If you're a new reader, and haven't heard of Top Ten Tuesdays, let me tell you that I try to participate every week! It's so much fun, and the person who started TopTenTues was the very first person I had met and followed when I started my blog!
Amanda is so nice and down to earth! Participating is easy, just fill out a Top Ten of your choice in time for Tuesdays and head to Oh, Amanda to link up with her Top Ten!
This week, I've been visiting a lot of blogs for the UBP11! I've met new bloggers, parenting bloggers, food bloggers, I feel like I could write a knock off Dr. Suess Book! 'Old Blogs, New Blogs, Fashion Shoe Blogs!'
