The Walking Dead - Rise of the Governor Book Review

Sleep While ReadingFirst let me say, that I don't have a lot of interest in reading. Books rarely keep my interest, and before i know it, I'm involuntarily falling asleep. I think the last book I read, which was a few years ago, consisted of me starting the book, falling asleep, waking up to read more, falling asleep, waking up, and so on until I was finally finished. BUT I have a confession to make.

Like many others, I am a Walking Dead fan. I absolutely love the show and have a hard time waiting for the next season to play. (I watch it season to season instead of episode to episode!) So I started looking into the comic books to see if I could get ahead in the show and ease my curiosity to what happens to the group.

**I am up to the part where Michonne arrives at the prison fence.** If you haven't seen at least half of season 3, then there might be spoilers in here, but I'll try to be good.**

The comic book pictured above that I want is $33. A little too pricey for me right now, so I settled with the next best thing.

The Governor's back story in The Rise Of The Governor book.

The Road To WoodBury will be released June 4th.
The minute I started reading Rise Of The Governor, I was hooked. I had a hard time figuring out who the characters were in comparison to the show, but with a little background from the show and some from the book, I was able to piece it together within the first couple chapters.

The book is about The Governor, (you'll also learn his real name! If you think you know it because of the show, guess again.) his daughter, his brother, long time friend, and their road to Woodbury from the start of the zombie apocalypse.

In the show, you see his daughter is a zombie, but I'm not sure if it ever says how. Or why he seems to be a single father. What happened to his wife? This book helps fill in the gaps. It explains what causes him to go insane and how he slowly loses him humanity.

If you are a Walking Dead Fan, and have been keeping up with the show, but haven't read this book, you're missing out!

The Governor is not who you think he is, at all. I was totally shocked in the book. To find out more, you'll have to read the book yourself.

I would totally recommend and give this book 5 stars!

****I purchased this book on my own. All thoughts in this summary are my own. I did not receive any sort of compensation for writing this****

any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is beautiful worth enough
for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the
net can be much more useful than ever before.
