He said: There's the same amount of Vitamin C as Orange Juice" ..

Ah hem... No, I'm sorry, but that isn't true. As soon as I heard that statement, I started my research. Boy is it hard to come across proper information. First of all, I stayed away from the V8 website. Of course they are going to tell  you that it's healthy for you. I want the truth though.
I couldn't find any information to compare the two but then again, each brand is different.

The American Parasite - 250 Million Americans Infected

This information is scary and true! I've been doing research and talking to therapists about it.

I urge you to watch this 30 minute video and educate yourself so that you can get healthier! Find out why it's been so hard to lose weight! And find out what the corporations didn't want you to know!
The government is finally admitting this is real!

Please looks passed the probiotics and keybiotics that it is trying to tell you to take. I'm still doing that research on which is the right cleanse, but everything else in this video is spot on.

I have not been paid to blog about this. These are my own opinions and opinions of colon therapists and nutritionists that I've been talking to.

30 Day Eat Clean Challenge - What's new

No, I haven't fizzled out and dropped this challenge. I'm just taking my time and pacing myself so I don't shock my body with too many new routines. Let's see, what's new?
I've noticed I drink about 4-5 bottles of water a day when I work around people who try to do it also. So for me, that's Monday-Wednesday and then I struggle with keeping up with it the rest of the week. I'm trying..

I couldn't master eating a bunch a meals a day. I felt so guilty about that but started doing the research and it says as long as you are getting your calorie intake and staying active, it shouldn't matter how many meals you have. whether it  be 3 or 6. I do however find myself starting to get hungry sometimes and I'll grab organic peanut butter and an apple.
Reading over this calendar has helped me change my diet tons and I haven't even done half of these. It says try to have a protein and carb at every meal and I do. Which has me leaning towards more healthy choices anyways instead of chips and fatty foods.

I'm not sure how much of the rest I can do, but I'm slowly switching out the foods I eat for healthier choices. I'm currently working on eating breakfast within an hour of getting up. Switching the white with whole grains is a little more challenging because I'm also trying to convince the other two members of my family to switch also. After all, what's the point of cooking for one all of the time? It just doesn't make sense for so many reasons.

I finally joined the gym and have been exercising every day for at least 30 minutes. I'm very excited that I've been able to keep up with it.
I have however developed a craving for iced coffee... which I used to hate.. what's up with that?

Red Riding Hood Shoot - #WordlessWednesday

These are photos from the Red Riding Hood Shoot that a friend and I did a couple weeks ago.

She dressed as Little Red

& the wolf
I tried to make it look like they attacked eachother

I tried merging the photos to create a fighting scene with one model.

And then of course, this totally reminded me of the hear no evil, speak no evil saying..

What do you think?

Hope every one has a great Wednesday!

I'm Not A Fan Of The Olympics..

Change is good, right? Not all the time. Not when residents are being forced out of their homes for a must have brand new Olympic stadium. And the residents who still live in their homes have damage caused from massive construction trucks barreling through daily.

30 Eat Clean Challenge Update

I wish I could say I'm doing better on this challenge than I am, but I'm not. I will say that I've made quite a few big changes to my diet since reading this over though. I've been skipping around because some of these are very hard to achieve and cost money to buy organic.

  • I've been doing good with not eating after 7 except for last night when I absolutely had to have an apple with 2 tbs of organic crunchy peanut butter. I'm a little disappointed in myself that I couldn't stick with it but my choice of an apple is way better than what i used to grab.
  • I absolutely can not manage 5-6 small meals a day. I'm just not that hungry and with the added rule of 6 bottles of water a day, it feels like I'm stuffing my face all day long. I can manage about 4-5 bottles a day and I'm fine with that. It's 10 times better than my water intake before. As far as the meals, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that yet. I've definitely been trying to stick with a protein and a carb whenever I get "cravings". I've been doing a lot of apples and peanut butter, and dried cranberries. I'd like to start boiling eggs as well.
  • I'm really great at sticking with appropriate proportions, but haven't mastered eating within an hour of waking up.
  • I've also managed to cut down my sugar intake by weaning myself off little by little. I am very proud to announce that I don't take any sugar in my coffee, (next to get rid of is creamer) and I also haven't been adding any sugars to anything. It was a shock to my taste buds at first, but I'm getting used to it. I just keep telling myself that food isn't meant to taste good, it's meant to provide nutrients and other things your body needs to function.
Getting there, slowly but surely. I'm not going to focus too much on what I haven't achieved as much as I am focusing on what I have achieved.
  • I'm doing great with the exercising. I meet the ladies after work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday for a workout and have purchased a kettle ball for me to keep it up at home on the weekends. I have been consistent a week and no longer feel excessive amounts of pain. I feel stronger and I have also noticed I can do each exercise longer and longer each time! It has also improved my back.

I hope every one has a great Monday!

30 Day Eat Clean Challenge - Day 4

This is what I've been working on. I could have waited until the 1st of February to start but I figured I would give myself a little wiggle room in case I wasn't able to complete a goal for the day.

30 Day Challenge, Day 3

So I had a good plan, to follow these 30 day challenges for the month of February, but it's great when something better becomes available. A couple ladies from work invited me to exercise with them after work each day using a kettle ball. I had never used one before and was very excited to learn!

I skipped the morning routine so I wasn't killing myself and just did some light stretching to start my day.

Jay Z Brings a 12 Year Old Rapper On Stage

Road Rage

Road Rage. We've all seen it. Some of us have experienced it. Some of us know it can get pretty scary and it's really nothing you should try to face.
If you go on Youtube, you can see plenty of road rage compilations. It's insane the amount of videos that show beat downs and attacks because someone loses their temper on something that could be as small as a person driving too slow.

Happy New Year!

I have to admit, life has been hectic for the past few months. It seems I had so much energy to get things done a few months ago and then something happened around October and I started feeling more depressed and tired all of the time.
I felt overwhelmed with all the things I had trying to juggle and we had just moved into our cabin on the lake and was still getting adjusted to that. All in all, I'm glad the holidays are over and I'm hoping to get out of the funk, start feeling energized, and hopefully have more time for the things I've been wanting to do. Blogging being one of them.

This blog has changed so much over the past few years. It started out as a child care blog, went to deals and savings, and is now a personal blog. An area for me to vent and get better with my writing skills. I still want to be able to blog when I have children, and I'm determined to keep blogging until then.
I appreciate those who read my blog and have been since i've started. I look forward to hearing your thoughts this year and I hope every one has a smooth start to 2014!
